FUTURE Worldwide is a consortium composed of community advocates who are committed to the betterment of urban resources and opportunities. Comprised of experts and specialists in education, finance, religion, commerce, technology, health, real estate and development, construction, energy, agriculture, and employability skill-sets, FUTURE is a Religious 501(c)3 / 508(c)(1)(a) designed to address key challenges confronting the African diaspora. Founded in 2016, FUTURE Worldwide is laser focused on self-help and self-funded projects and programs. It is managed by local communities and neighborhoods. The organizational structure consists of local Councils of Twelves that are membered and administered by local communities.

Dr. Melba Carter

Melba Carter is an award winning entrepreneur, credentialed educator, community advocate, and gifted author of paranormal romance novels. She lives in Los Angeles surrounded by incredibly supportive family and friends. After graduating from UCLA, she began working in marketing and spent many years as a career and personal growth coach. In 1993, she founded JOBS Training & Placement, and in 2007, Dr. Carter was presented with a Supplier of the Year Award from the Southern California Minority Business Development council. That same year her company was honored by the National Minority Business Development Council with a Class 1 Supplier Award in Miami, Florida. JOBS Training & Placement beat out 15,000 other business candidates for this honor. Today, Ms. Carter is “lazier focused on improving the quality of opportunities” for youth and families in urban communities. FUTURE Worldwide is an outgrowth of Dr. Carter’s passion for African American progress, affluence, and success.

Cassandra Hawkins

Cassandra Hawkins, a native Louisianan, is the mother of 5 adult sons and an adult daughter. Cassandra is married to the Rev. Dr. Alvin R. Hawkins, Pastor and Founder of the Living Well Christian Ministries. Cassandra enjoys working with children and youth by teaching them the word of God through musicals, Reader’s Theatre, dance and modeling. She is Sunday School Superintendent and Worship leader. Cassandra loves to minister through song, and the performing arts. She has a burden to teach the whole child, thus, having the privilege to work as the Local Missionary Director for the South Bay Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship. She is also a credentialed k-12 educator, and she spent more than 25 years as a teacher and coordinator with Los Angeles School District. Cassandra earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech and Theatre, a Master of Arts Degree in Humanities, and presently, completing an Ed.D in Education and Educational Leadership. Mrs. Hawkins is a graduating member in Good Standing of the Inglewood Chapter of Jack and Jill, a Charter member of the Inglewood Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and a member of the Coalition of 100 Black Women, Los Angeles.

Adrian Bates is a real estate broker who has mastered the Art of the deal, always empowering others. She is passionate about providing down payment assistance programs to educate the home buying public in this changing market. Consistently she has been instrumental in creating thousands of home ownership opportunities. Adrian is a wiz at negotiating and has a continued following of satisfied sellers and buyers. She has been in real estate business for the last 30 years. She’s a Top Producer, a member of the “Million Dollar Club”, a Graduate of the Real Estate Institute and a Certified Distressed Property Expert. Adrian sits on the Board of the Southwest Board of Realtors. She has been in real estate business for the last 30 years. She’s a Top Producer, a member of the “Million Dollar Club”, a Graduate of the Real Estate Institute and a Certified Distressed Property Expert. In 2010, Keller Williams hired Ms. Bates as there broker of record. In 2014, she rejoined her daughter at A-1 Realty as their broker of record. Adrian is one of the most dedicated successful, committed Real Estate Brokers in the California who pays it forward by empowering others. She’s a “Master Closer”. When it comes to negotiating real estate deals, Adrian finds the most effective, smooth way to achieve a win/win situation. She is now conducting Free Real Estate Seminars once a month.

Lynda Anderson

Lynda Anderson has been blessed to live her purpose driven life on many levels. With strong faith and a community full of family and friends she satisfied a lifelong dream to own and operate a specialty shoe salon in Culver City, California called the 9 to 12 Shoe Salon with her business partner. Her shoe boutique put her on the map to travel the world designing, line building and making shoes in sizes that made for happy, repeat customers. After owning and operating her salon for 9 years, she decided to make a move to serve on another level. Lynda became the second administrative leader of the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America. For 15 years her national platform as President allowed her to educate, change legislative policy, create awareness internationally, creatively fund raise and support the member organizations throughout the country with their work in the area of sickle cell disease. When the organization decided to leave Los Angeles, Lynda made a change to consult with non-profits in areas where she had strength to help them succeed. She is currently very active in the financial services arena. Working with nonprofit organizations, businesses and municipalities showing them how to best use Congressional regulations to benefit their bottom line and enhance their employee’s benefits. She is also re-educating individuals to the benefits of having “living benefits” in their portfolio. Lynda enjoys traveling with her significant other, volunteering at animal shelters and gardening. A jazz and wine enthusiast, she is enjoying life and is excited about her journey with FUTURE Worldwide!

Crystal is a business professional with a successful 30-year track record of operating a profitable business. Her background is in accounting, bookkeeping, business coaching and consulting solutions for small businesses and not for profit agencies. She provides entrepreneurs with access to the tools, mentorship, and resources necessary to support each stage of their business’s development to ensure successful growth.
Crystal began working with Recycling Black Dollars in 2008, a not for profit organization that’s mission is to aid in the economic development of the Black American community by teaming with consumers, organizations, churches and Fortune 500 corporations to foster consumer purchasing, vending and contract opportunities.
In 2016 she co-led the launching of The BusinessZone a weekly online radio show bringing business, entrepreneurial, procurement, and supplier diversity information/opportunities. Certified to teach the NFTE curriculum to junior high, high school and college age young people. She strongly believes that “if you turn your cant’s into cans, and your dreams into plans, everyone would achieve the life that was destined for them.”
